Thermostat not available

Out of nowhere my thermostat doesn't want to work with my Google home system. "Thermostat isn't available right now, try resetting it."

I've restarted, reset, deleted off the nest app AND Google home app. Reinstalled. No joy.

Ive only had it for 2 months and now this.

I can physically control it but I spent the $$$ to use the voice.

All help will be appreciated

Hi Jzach97,

Thanks for reaching out and for being a step ahead of us. I'm sorry for the delay, I know it's been a while now. A few questions: what type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, in what country are you located? Please gather your thermostat's power readout.

Check out the guide below:

Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E:

  1. Go to your thermostat Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look for Technical Info.
  4. Select Power.

Nest Thermostat 2020:

  1. Open the Google Home app and then tap the thermostat and then tap Settings .
  2. Select the Device Information.
  3. Choose Technical Information.

Best,

Jenelyn

It's the learning nest. I called a week after no response. Gave all the information which had zero effect.

The cause to ALL of this was an update on the HUBS. The thermostat was never the issue the hubs did not see it because of whatever update to them.

To fix the issue I needed to remove the hubs from Home and readd them. Once this was done I was able to use the voice controls again.

Thank you
