Thermostat not calling for heat but says it is on

We have had a next thermostat installed for around 5 years.  In the last week it’s started to not work correctly.  Heating is not coming on when it should.  Link is bringing on the solenoid but not the boiler.  Boiler is working as it should. Turn off heating mode in nest and switch it back to head mode fires up fine. I believe this to be a new software issue. Anyone had same issue.

Thanks for reaching out to us here @Ells87 . I'm sorry to hear you are facing this behaviour from your thermostat and I'll do my best to try and assist.

We want to do some tests to see how the relays in the Heat Link behave. Go next to the Heat Link and open the Nest app on a mobile device:

1. Select your thermostat to access the heating controls and make sure the screen is black, heating is off.
2. Turn up the temperature until the display goes orange, heating on, and listen for a clicking noise.
3. Turn the temperature back down until the display is black again, heating off, and listen for a clicking noise again.

Let me know what the results are.
