The low battery could be caused by either rapid battery drain on the Nest thermostat or insufficient power supply to the device. To assist you better, I have a few questions about your device:
- What type of thermostat do you have?
- When did the issue first occur?
- Is this a new installation?
- Is the thermostat display turning on? If so, are you receiving any error messages?
- Are the power breakers on, and is your home receiving power?
- When you charge the thermostat with a dedicated micro USB charger, does any light blink?
In the meantime, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
- Remove the thermostat display from its base and check if any connector pins are bent.
- Check if the thermostat wires are secured in their terminals and all the buttons are down.
- Charge the thermostat via a micro-USB cable and check if there's light on the display. Please let me know about the light status color.
