Thermostat offline in the app

My Gen. 3 Nest thermostat has been offline for several days. I've tried everything. There's nothing wrong with the WiFi. The thermostat says it's connected. But the app says it's offline. I've tried resetting, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, charging the battery. I don't see any error codes or messages. It has gone offline several times before, and then it fixes itself in a day or two.

Hi @Les_Moore,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I truly apologize for your Nest Thermostat being offline in the app, and I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot it. I'm here to help you.

I've reviewed the information you provided, and I have a few more questions to help me better understand the situation.

  • What's the software version of your thermostat?
  • What app do you use to control your thermostat (e.g., the Nest app or the Google Home app)?
  • Have you had any power outages recently?
  • Could you send me a photo of the following: Settings > Network?
  • Could you send me a photo of your Wi-Fi speed test results?
