Thermostat only turns on at a certain degrees

Hi. My nest thermostat will only start heating past a certain temperature - It is really frustrating as it will then make me turn it up another ° if I want to heat again. Atm I have to turn it to 17.5° for the temperature to turn on, I want it to turn on at 16° - Is my device faulty?

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • When did the issue first occur?
  • When was the Nest Thermostat installed?
  • What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?
  • Is there a wiring report or error message on your thermostat and/or app?
  • "What is the make and model of your (HVAC) equipment?" 
  • Have you done troubleshooting steps? If so, can you list them?
