Thermostat to the landfill?

• So my 2nd Gen thermostat that I bought and paid for installation and still works perfectly fine will no longer be supported as of October? How does this make Nest an environmentally-friendly company? I know I can continue to use it but the key function for me is to be able to control the temperature in my house remotely. 
  This is not acceptable.

I will not be purchasing anything Google again if they do not correct this. I thought Apple was bad … Google is making Apple look like a good actor.

As a tech support pro, the standard for Google support is deplorably low. Why not provide service that's as amazing as the innovative products? Why would anyone buy Google Nest products if they dont work or cannot be professionally installed. I've used the online support community and watched videos to troubleshoot and repair but it's 90 plus degrees and 100% humidity i doors. The system worked a week ago then nothing! 😡🥵
