Hello Stucknest,

I'm sorry for the issue you're having with the Nest Thermostat installation. The compatibility check should give you a good indication, but sometimes issues can arise during the actual installation process. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Make sure that the wires are properly connected to their corresponding terminals on the Nest Thermostat. In your case, G, W, C, Y, and R seem to be in order, but ensure there are no loose connections.
  2. Nest Thermostats don't require you to use a jumper wire, so you may disregard it.
  3. Try power-cycling your HVAC system and the Nest Thermostat. Turn off the power to your HVAC system, wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes reset the system and resolve compatibility issues.

You can share with us your old thermostat's photo so we can visualize how it should be labeled on your Nest Thermostat. Which type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, from what country are you posting?

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark
