Can somebody pretty please help me determine if our current wiring is compatible with the gen 4 nest learning thermostat? None of it looks like it’s a multi stranded wire or high voltage. I don’t know much about what’s set up or how but I’ll do my best to explain below, here’s our current configuration on a Trane/Honeywell system believed to be from the late 80s
(Wire color - connected to)
Red wire - R
Blue wire - B
White wire - W
Yellow wire - Y1
Brown wire - Y2
Black wire - X2
Orange wire - O
Green wire - G
Ive seen some confusion as far as the black wire (whether it should be connected to C, W2/AUX, or *) but everything else seems self explanatory to just match up to the new base?
