Thermostat wiring

Falcon99
Community Member

Hello,

I have a unique labelling on a Honeywell thermostat in my apartment.  I am looking to upgrade to Nest Learning Thermostat.

Orange wire going to W/Y

Yellow between two Ys

Red to Y/A GI

Blue to Gm

Brown to Gh

Cannot find another example like this on the internet.  Don't know how to post a picture of it, otherwise I would.

Help please!

Thank you.

@Falcon99 , your Y’s are for cooling. Y1 is cooling stage 1, Y2 is cooling stage 2 and so on. The Gl is Fan Low, Gm is fan Medium and Gh is fan High. The Orange wire is probably programmed as W or W1. Since you have 3 fan speeds so you need to get a Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Generation in order to support all three fan speeds.
