Hello David1973,

Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

You can still reach out to us by filling out this form, which you can find on our Google Nest Help Center. This will give you options to choose which channel you would prefer, via phone or chat support. Also, disabling the Home and Away Assist or Routines on your thermostat would disable the automatic switching to Eco mode. Please follow these steps on how to turn off Eco:

  1. On your actual thermostat:
    1. Go to Settings > Home and Away Assist > Turn off. (Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E)
  2. On the Nest app:
    1. Open the app and select your thermostat device card.
    2. settings in the top-right corner.
    3. Go to Eco Temperature. Slide the left and right buttons to turn off.
  3. On the Google Home app:
    1. Open the app and select Routines.
    2. Look for any thermostat actions, then remove them.
    3. Go back to the home screen and select your thermostat icon.

Please let me know if you need more help.

Best,

Mark
