UK Nest learning thermostat 3rd Generation (Help Pls)

Two options available for Nest 3rd Gen in UK:

1. Buy from high street or online retailer, either fit myself or pay someone to fit. Comes with 2 year warranty

2. Go through googles pro installer, who supply and fit (about the same price if pay for install above) and get 5 year warranty. (mention of Pro version and only in silver)

Couple of questions for some help please:

1. Are the high street vs 'pro' essentially the same in terms of functionality
2. Anything am missing in the above, or should consider?

Hi there @rbrangwi . Thanks for reaching out here. I would be happy to try and assist. 

The functionality on both devices will be the same. There are no difference there.

The difference is that the units the Pro installer has are from us and they received training from us on setting them up. So they should be able in general to go trough most setups without any difficulties. If the unit is a Pro unit, from them and installed by them, then an extended warranty may be applied.

This warranty does not however apply if the unit is purchased from retail and installed by a Nest Pro or if the unit is from a Pro but not installed by them.
