Recently relocated our nest thermostat following refurbishment of our hallway. Recently the device is unable to find any WiFi in the house. Other devices have no such trouble. Have rest both the router and the nest. Looking for support, understand number of people have had a replacement with similar faults.

Google support made be believe my nest thermostats just had the problem after all the trouble shooting.
I bought a brand new nest thermostats and it had same problem wouldn’t connect to the app or if I do get it to connect after hours of pain and suffering it would go offline. Again clueless google support said the new nest thermostat is also broken. Here I go to Best Buy to grab a 3rd nest thermostat, and you guessed it same problem. By now I knew it’s not the thermostat, it’s something with Wi-Fi. I spent hours searching, YouTubing and nothing worked. Finally I created a guest network on my Wi-Fi and connected nest to guest Wi-Fi and so far it has been showing online. Long story short, google needs to push a new update to their thermostats to fix this problem. Hope this helps.

Your post helped me! I did was you suggested:
Created a new Google Nest home, connected it to a new Guest wifi and then I was able to successfully connect my devices (in this case a thermostat and a new google doorbell)!!! My thermostat had been offline for months as I couldn't figure it out. I was pulling my hair out but your post saved me. I knew my wifi was working. Earlier, my thermostat was working just fine but one day lost connectivity then failed to reconnect. If this happens again I'll try a similar solve. My hope is these devices stay connected tho. I have a theory that they max out and thus disconnect devices once its at the max. THANK YOU!

It would be great if you could file a ticket . There is a bug on the device / software that prevents it from detecting more devices. I had to create a new home and a guest wifi network to connect. It took me 2 hrs to figure this out and my husband also tried for 2 hours. This is extremely frustrating and what I'll remember when I think of google door bells.
