Unable to find 7 digit key

Hi

I posted earlier that when I go to Nest Thermostat settings>Nest App> it says "connected" and am unable to find the 7 digit key etc.

Hence, I have "Nest" App installed on my iphone, but unable to proceed further with the installation due to not being able to find the 7 digit key. I am the new owner of this property and believe this account must be using the previous owners credentials and how can this be removed? I have reset it when new boiler was installed but still no luck and you have stated using the "Factory Reset All" if that can help?

My Software details are as follows:

2,3,23/3,1 version

Model Backplate=6.5

software version:5.9.5-2

Please advise.

Gaz

  1. If the thermostat had a previous owner and hasn’t been reset yet, factory reset the thermostat.
  2. If you haven’t already, download the Nest app on a phone or tablet.
  3. On the Nest app home screen, tap the Settings cog.
  4. Tap Add product. The app will switch to a camera view to scan the thermostat’s QR code.
  5. On the thermostat, press it to open the quick view menu and tap the Settings cog.
  6. Turn the ring to select Nest app and press to open it.
  7. Select QR code. Your thermostat will show you a unique QR code to scan with the app. If it doesn't, tap Continue without scanning in the app and select Get entry key on your thermostat instead.
  8. Follow the remaining steps in the Nest app.
