Unable to reconnect Learning Google Nest Thermostat to app or Wifi network

Everything was fine. I had some router problems and reset it to factory settings, which changed the SSID of my Wifi network. I successfully connected to the new default SSID. Then I reconfigured my router and restored the SSID and password to the previous settings. I have tried multiple times to reconnect the Nest thermostat to that Wifi network, which it had previously connected to without problems. It keeps saying that the password is incorrect, but I have checked carefully what I'm entering, and it is correct. So, following instructions, I removed the thermostat from the Google Home app. I tried to add it back with the QR code. My remote sensor was added but not the thermostat. I have tried two or three times, but the thermostat is not added. I have two Wifi networks (5G and 2.2G); I have tried both, but I get incorrect password on both. I really need to speak to someone on the phone, but the support number no longer works. Many of the instructions for both the phone and the thermostat are confusing because they often do not match what I see on my iPhone or on the thermostat. It isn't a big deal right now since I have heating off until the fall and have no A/C, but I'd like to get it working normally again. I'm using WPA3-Personal (recommended by Apple) for authentication on the router. I'm tired of the cumbersome process of entering the network password on the Nest and then seeing it fail.

I finally got it to connect by changing two settings on my router. One was to turn on Smartconnect, which chooses among the available Wifi networks on the router (I have 3 or 4). The other was to change the authentication method from WP3-Personal to WP2-Personal, which is less secure. Now, I'll try again to add the thermostat to the app.

I should add that my iPhone and MacBook Pro are connected with no issues. However, my solar monitor also seems not be able to connect, and I did not change anything on it, i.e., it still has the Wifi settings from before all this started. I just connected my IPad Pro to the same network. I did not have to enter the password because it is the same password I had before the router reset.

I removed the remote sensor from Google Home. I tried adding again with the QR code, but the thermostat still does not get added.

Having almost the SAME issue and it is FRUSTRATING!  Think  that there is some bug in the NEST code that NEEDS TO BE FIXED!  Husband is able to connect yet I randomly get kicked off and cannot login USING same credentials and SAME type of phone (iPhone 15).  WTF???

I tried adding with the entry code. The app is unable to find the thermostat.
