Using Nest E Learning thermostat

NikkiJayne

I am using the thermostat as instructed but I'm not sure what temperature my boiler should be set at. My thermostat says heating but the burner light isn't on. I've got the radiator temperature on my boiler set to 30c. Any advice or help would be great 👍 thanks

Hello NikkiJayne,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd love to know more about this.

To isolate:

  • Is the Nest Thermostat newly installed?
  • What type of furnace do you have? (gas, electric, etc.)
  • Did you turn off the power to the HVAC system?
    • Did you recently turn off any breakers?
    • Have you recently experienced a brownout or blackout?
    • Is there a light switch near the heater that controls an outlet?
  • Could you please share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring?
  • When was the last time you changed the furnace's air filter?
    • Note: A clogged air filter can cause an HVAC system to not activate.
  • Please gather the power readouts on your thermostat's "Technical Info" settings for the Nest Learning Thermostat or Nest Thermostat E and "Equipment" settings for the Nest Thermostat 2020.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,
