I already have one Nest Learning Thermostat in my living room and the heat link (?) thing in the airing cupboard by the boiler upstairs.
I want a second Nest thermostat for the bedroom.
1) will it use the same heat link? If not, how does having two heat links work?
2) will it use the same app? So I'll have a "living room" and a "bedroom" section of the app?
Thanks.

Each thermostat uses a seperate Heat Link. Each thermostat has it's own code that latches between the Display and Heat Link. Yes you can use the same app, just name the thermostats a different position, ie: Living Room and Bedroom.

Since I haven't heard from you in a while, I'll have to close this thread. Should anything else come up, please open another thread and we'll take it from there. Have a good one and stay safe!

Hi there @The_Berry and thanks for your interest in our products. Basically for every thermostat (display) you'll need a receiver (Heat Link), with out this setup, the system won't work. In this case, yes, you'll need two Heat Links.
Absolutely, you can create a "Home" in the Nest App in which you can add up to five different zones/sections that can be named differently.
