The Google Nest Thermostat (2020) can only be used with the Google Home App.

That isn’t the issue as my existing iPad and iphone is working perfectly as I have recently upgraded to a newer iPad when you are trying to use the app you are present with having to verify that you are who you say you are either via text of email the verification code never gets sent so you are left in a limbo this is only been

happening since googles take over and everything worked beautifully before

Hi Mahmuthasan2,

Thanks for posting in the Community! Sorry to hear that you aren’t receiving the verification code when you try to sign in into the Nest App. No worries, help is here! Here you have this article that contains some steps to Troubleshoot Nest app sign-in issues

Please take a look at it and let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Axel.

I have followed the link none of the suggestions are related to the issue that I am experiencing

the problem can only be resolved from your end not receiving code

Hello Mahmuthasan2,

Thanks for your reply.

If you haven’t received the verification code in your email, please check if the verification hasn’t gone to the spam, promotions, or junk folder. However, I would like to ask as well: have you received an email to delete your Nest account?

It’s important to note that the verification code will go to the same email you use to log in with the Nest app, so if you’ve migrated your account and can’t seem to find the email, you can check on your Gmail address as well. Just make sure @Nest.com isn’t blacklisted from any of your email services.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,

Angel.

The verification code has always been sent sms not via email

Hi Mahmuthasan2,

Thanks for your reply.

If you only received this code via SMS, you might be referring to the 2-step verification code, so please can you check the Nest app for the last 4 digits of the phone number the verification code was sent to?

If the number is correct, make sure your phone has a good cellular signal, as this can delay when the text message will appear. Try requesting it multiple times; however, if you still don’t receive the text message even after making sure everything checks out, the team would like to learn more about this behavior. When you get a chance, please fill out this form and let us know when you’re finished. We’ll have someone reach out to you via email from there.

If you happen to fill out the form, make sure to include your community username alongside a link to this conversation so we can locate your submission and reach out to you as soon as possible.

Regards,

Angel.
