Verifying if Compatible

wiring.jpgI want to get a Nest learning thermostat.  I have a heat pump with a fuel oil backup system.

You need the learning model because you will have a Rc and Rh wire which is the power wires from the separate systems.

Then you have to connect W for the oil heat to W1 and the W for the heat pump to W2 aux. Match up the other wires on the nest.

Set it up as a dual fuel system and define the outside temperature you want it to switch over to the oil furnace.
