You have essentially a simple heating system. The power comes in on the wire going to RH. When there is a call for heating, the thermostat connects the RH to the W wire and that turns on your heat. A nest is compatible with the system. However, with only two wires, you don’t have a common for a Nest Learning thermostat. for compatibility checker, you can just input R and W.

With a nest thermostat, you do not need to have the jumper between Rh and Rc. what you need to do is in the installation app, when it ask you what wires you have, you will use RH & W. By the way, what model nest thermostat do you have? Because the reason I’m asking is you don’t have a common wire and the nest learning thermostat sometimes will work with systems without a common wire.

Hello, what I highly recommend to get started for yours without a common wire yes, it first you should take the front of your thermostat turn it over on the back you’ll see a micro USB connector, plug in a cord and charge it fully overnight. Now tomorrow start your installation. First, you will remove the two wires that are on your old thermostat back plate. Red and white. You remove the back plate and then mount the nest back plate. After this, you will install the front thermostat onto the nest back plate, and this will cause it to boot up and start. Next you will be asked to install the Nest app on your device and create a Nest account if you don’t have one, and then the installation will proceed. You will inform the Nest app and installation Utility that you have a red wire on Rh and a white wire on W. Best wishes,
