Want control on nest but it keeps changing temp. Eco allows "none" but raises temp. What stops this?

Followed instructions both for phone & on thermostat for setting the hold to try to get the temp i want without an end time. It either sets a time or in eco mode where I can select "none" , it raises the temperature.
