When both connected phones are away from home

Hello all

Wonder if anyone can help me at all

My parents are house sitting for me a few days a week and when they have tried to turn the heating up manually to override the eco setting,  nothing happens, the heat link clicks but doesn't turn the heating on. But as soon as I come home and do the exact same thing, the heating starts

Any ideas?
