Why can't I reconnect my thermostat after deleting a home?

I'll keep it short. An hour of searching and I found no clear answer other than factory reset, which I don't want to do. I accidentally deleted my main "home" in the nest app while trying to connect a camera to a different home. I cannot reconnect my thermostat- when I go to the settings cog to attempt to get the QR code or entry key, I can see "This thermostat is connected to an account". Is this a factory reset situation?

@fuellda The devices associated with a Google app or Nest App must first be “removed” or deleted from the app before they can be moved or assigned to a new home.
Since you deleted the house first, just put the house back in, using the exact spelling, your devices show up unattached to an area.
At that point you can delete the device you want to move to a different house.

I fixed the issue. It was a facepalm moment. Once I realized my wife was signed into Nest and still had the home and all of our cameras, I went back to my app. I simply logged off and back on. My thermostat, cameras and hub came back. Complicated problem solve with simple solution.
