Why does my schedule not work at weekends?

I have a schedule set every day of the week so the heating will turn on around 7am. This works fine. Mon-Fri but does not seem to work on Sat or Sun. This morning it was meant to be heating to 19 degrees but he heating remained in eco mode (target 16 degrees) even though the ambient temperature was 16.5 degrees.

Hello Aloysius16,

Thank you for bringing the issue with your Nest Thermostat schedule to our attention. I appreciate your detailed description of the situation and am sorry for any inconvenience you may have experienced.

I understand the importance of having a reliable heating schedule, especially during the colder days. To troubleshoot this, you might want to check a few things:

  • Verify that your Saturday and Sunday settings are correctly configured. Make sure the time and temperature settings for those days are accurate.
  • The Home/Away Assist feature might be influencing the thermostat's behavior. Check the settings to see if it's set up correctly and is not conflicting with your schedule.
  • Sometimes, manual adjustments or overrides can affect the scheduled settings. Make sure there are no manual changes or overrides set on the weekends that might be preventing the thermostat from following the programmed schedule.

Let us know how it goes.

Best regards,
Mark
