Why is Nest calling for heat when room temp is much higher than temperature set on stat - 3

Two months ago, back in episode 2 of this Question (link below) 

You said that a Senior Support Agent would be taking a look at the case 

Just to let you know I've heard nothing further on this case since then ?

Hi there again @bob_a_builder and thanks for bringing this to my attention. It seems that my colleague from the Senior Support Team has sent you an email on 15th of April. Did you have a chance to check it out? 

No, I never received that email  - I've searched all 'bin's and junk folders


I did explain in a earlier post ( which I think was deleted, because it became a bit of a rant ) in one of my threads that for some reason I was not receiving emails which were sent directly to me from the google support people  yet have had no problem receiving the notification emails which are sent from the GoogleNestCommunity forum

I have only ever received 2 emails from the 'googlenest-support@ address back on 30th Mar 
Nothing else from that address, even though posts in the previous threads refer to email being sent


So is it possible to respond within the forum rather than use direct emails
Can you place contents of that email there, that way I will be able to see it and respond

I totally understand now and sorry for this, no worries, I'll ask my colleague from the Senior Team to try to resend the last email. As we're talking about sensitive information, I can't bring the content of it here, but I'll try to find an alternative so the message will be delivered to you. Thanks a lot for your patience.

Hi. Wanted to let you know that the email was re-sent. Check a bit later to see if perhaps it went through now and let me know.

No sign of any email this end I'm afraid  (5 hours after your post)
I can give you a hotmail address if you want to try that ?

Its really odd , I have certainly received 1 (correction : earlier I said 2) email from your # address in the past ( 28th Mar) but nothing from that address since

Hi @bob_a_builder. Thanks for letting me know. Did you try to check your email with another browser, or maybe open an incognito web page and check your email there?

I hadn't, but have just tried both those suggestions , but still same result I'm afraid

I have now (at last) received the email from the senior support team  - Thanks

Unfortunately , after all the evidence to the contrary they say that   
"the thermostat seems to be working as expected."

A somewhat disappointing outcome from my point of view
But if they don't believe its a fault then clearly nothing is going to change
