I have a AC Unit with a Heatpump and I am having trouble figuring out what to do to the extra wire, right now Heat is working but might not be Heating enough And cool mode its pumping hot air. The old unit had the following wires:
W2 - 2 wires connected (black and white wire)
G - 1 Green wire
O/B - 1 Red wire
C - 1 Blue wire
Y - 1 Yellow wire
R - 1 Red wire with a jumper to RC
My question would Be what should I do to the extra W2 wire as nest only let me install one wire - currently I just installed one wire and left the other without installing in any other place.
Also how could I fix the cooling mode as it is blowing Hot air instead of cold?
Thank you for your support in advanced

since you have a heat pump and you are getting cold air, when you turn on your heat, you need to change the type of heat pump you have in the nest settings. You have what’s known as a type B heat pump. On your nest display go to settings, equipment, heat, and under heat you’ll see a setting for type O and type B. Move the checkmark from type O to type B that should fix your heat problem. As The two W2 wires you might have one as Auxiliary heat and the other is emergency heat. Auxiliary heat and emergency heat are the same heating system. The only difference is the HVAC equipment controls, auxiliary heat, and the homeowner can control the emergency heat.
