I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat that won't turn on. Let's jump in and get it back to life!
A power-related issue, incorrect installation or wire setup, or an unstable Wi-Fi connection are some of the possible reasons why your thermostat has a low battery life.
To isolate:
- When did the issue first occur?
- Is this a newly installed thermostat?
- If the thermostat was recently installed, what is the make and model of your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment?
- Share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring.
Give these steps a whirl:
- Check that the power from your HVAC system at the breaker box is turned on.
- Ensure that the wires are connected properly (with no loose or exposed wires).
- Inspect the thermostat display and its base to see if any connector pins are bent.
- Charge the thermostat display for an hour before plugging it back into its base.
- Look for any reports in the Equipment settings.
- Gather the power readouts in the Technical Info settings.
