I was pretty happy when I got my new Nest Learning Thermostat. I had it set up and working in no time at all. Nine months late, after an internet outage in my area, suddenly my thermostat could no longer connect to the internet. I followed all the troubleshooting info I could find online. I came across something that mentioned the battery may no longer work. Foolishly, I opened the back of the thermostat case. I saw there was no battery that I could change. I should have put everything back together right then, but I set it aside. With 90+ degree temperatures, I just reinstalled my old thermostat. Now I have lost the tiny screws that hold the back on. I really regret every investing in this thermostat…

Mine (3 gen Learning) has a Mini USB Charging Port top center. It has been showing a small light blinking at one second intervals for about 2 hours. I am searching for the time it should take to charge and if there is some indication that charging is complete.
