can not send an invitation

I'm trying to invite my partner to the Nest Learning Thermostat.
She has a Google account and a Gmail address, but the invitation is not sent
I get the message:
"an invitation cannot be sent to ******@gmail.com

How can i invite a family member to the Nest Learning Thermostat ???

Yikes! Follow these steps to invite a family member to the Nest Learning Thermostat. To send an invitation to your partner, ensure you have entered their Gmail address correctly, check for typos or accidental spaces, and have a stable internet connection. If necessary, try using a different network or restarting your router. Also, confirm if the email address is linked to a valid Google account.

 

Follow these: 

 

  1. Open the Nest app.
  2. Go to Settings and locate and select the "Family" or "Home/Away Assist" option. This section allows you to manage access and invite family members to control the Nest Thermostat.
  3. In the "Family" section, you should find an option to add a family member or invite someone to control the thermostat. Tap or click on that option to proceed.
  4. Enter your partner's Gmail address (e.g., ******@gmail.com) in the provided field for inviting family members.
  5. After entering the email address, select the option to send the invitation. The Nest app will attempt to send the invitation to the provided email address.
