compatibliity? Old: White and Rogers Model #1F78 New: Google Nest Learning Thermostat

Is a White and Rogers Thermostat compatible to switching over to a Google Nest Learning Thermostat.  There's just one large wire coming out of the wall into the old thermostat.

And could you share us the wiring photo of your current thermostat and a photo of the wires connected on your HVAC control board?
