- What is the model of your Nest thermostat? Here’s a helpful article about how to identify your thermostat model.
- What type of HVAC system do you have?
- What other strange symptoms have you experienced since the problem started?
- Are there any error messages?
- When was the last maintenance and cleaning service performed on your HVAC system?
- Have there been any recent changes or upgrades to your HVAC system?
- Have you noticed whether the same behavior occurs when the thermostat is in heating mode?
In the meantime, I’d suggest the following steps:
- Check the Energy History to see if some features are causing the unusual thermostat activation.
- Ensure that the wires are fully inserted into the terminal and that the connector buttons are securely pushed down.
