google nest e heatlink cover

can I purchase a replacement heat link e cover so I can change the colour from grey?

I'm guessing you didn't find one? I'm amazed that Google/Nest don't sell these as extras in a range of colours, or that someone else hasn't jumped into that market.

No sadly I didn’t find one, it also took nearly 6 months for google uppity to reply, obviously too busy eating free jellybeans and sitting on google beanbags 🤣

I'm getting hold of a spare cover (eBay) and I'm going to strip the fabric off and cover in di-noc as an experiment - this is good stuff, with careful application using a hairdryer, it can be perfectly moulded around complex shapes. Still a shame that nest don't just do this in white, which would match far more decor then grey.

Hi, I checked the link, but, to be honest, there is no sensible way I'm going to read through that mass of T&C's. I'm buying a second hand heatlink so I can experiment with changing the cover material, which won't interfere with any sensors or change the design. I'll certainly post photos of before and after so you can see why it should be a big improvement. It does seem strange that nest sell different colour backplates for the learning thermostat, so they must appreciate that one colour doesn't work for everyone, but don't offer different colour options for the heatlink.

Hi @MaclandUK. We currently do not have the option to change the Heat Link covers to a different color. We are always looking for ways to improve our services and products and will take this as feedback. Should there be any change, we'll let everyone know on our official channels.
