after reading many post it appears the internal (non replaceable) battery is not charging. The nest was  Ordered on March 2, 2020. It was professionally installed a few days later. It has worked flawlessly up until a few weeks ago when it was going off line and then coming back on line. During this time my nest camera were continuing to work, so there is no issues with the internet.

I believe it's just simply a battery that won't hold a charge anymore. I paid 249.00 for the device. How to I get a replacement? I have read the life spam should be about 10 years. I got less than 5 years.

Hi, @Overheated724,

Thank you so much for posting in the community. I'm truly sorry you're experiencing trouble with your thermostat's battery. Let's work together and find a solution.

To assist you better, I'd like to know:

  • Are the power breakers on, and do you receive power to your home?
  • Is the thermostat display turning on?
  • Are there any error messages displayed?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

  • Remove the thermostat display from its base and check if any connector pins are bent.
  • Check if the thermostat wires are secured in their terminals and all the buttons are down.

If the thermostat display is seated properly, all the wires lay flat, and they are secure in their terminals, and the thermostat is still not working, charge the thermostat with a micro-USB cable. Please let me know if any lights show on the display.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Ana
