google nest thermostat

I can't believe how much Google misrepresents it's products in the tech space.  I bought a NEST thermostat that doesn't install in my Nest app.  Wow. There was no declaration of this on packaging or anywhere.  Google will never equal Apple or even Amazon in honest representation of their products.  If ya pay for a nest aware account that a new Nest thermostat can't be added to then that is clearly a violation of consumer laws but who is rich enough to suit google?  The thing only installs in Google home...then call it Google home thermostat...I am so sorry I ever thought Android was a good thing.
