i have reset the next thermostat and it still won't work

yesterday all of a sudden the next was on? i didn't touch it to do that. it sounded like just the fan.

I tried to turn the heat on....did not connect

i tried to turn the a/c on same thing.

i need to find out what I can do to have it working again.

wifi is connected and I can use the thermostat manually for settings and reset but nothing else.

need to speak with a live person or at least a chat

Thanks

Hello iralor,

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear you're having issues activating your HVAC system with your Nest Thermostat. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

To isolate:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • Does the thermostat screen indicate that it’s actively calling for heating?
  • What type of furnace do you have? (gas, electric, etc.)
  • When did heating and cooling last work?
  • Did you turn off the power to the HVAC system?
  • Did you recently turn off any breakers?
  • Have you recently experienced a brownout or blackout?
  • Is there a light switch near the heater that controls an outlet?
  • When was the last time you changed the furnace's air filter?
    • Note: A clogged air filter can cause an HVAC system to not activate.
