After Years of use and being able to use my thermostat and monitor smoke alarms etc online remotely I now cannot access the app. My password is correct I receive verification but when I verify it is me logging onto the app from Gmail the app sits cycling and not allowing me access. I’m 3,000 miles from home and unable to even monitor alarms or control the thermostat. It’s February and in Minnesota we are expecting below zero temperatures. At this point I am ready to rip it out of the house and go with a different product. I can’t even monitor smoke and fire alarms and we have pets at home! What’s the point of spending the money on a system when Google won’t adequately support it? When it was run by Nest I could at least get live support!

Hi galwaychase,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I’m sorry to hear that you cannot access the Google Home app. Even though you are sure that you’re using the correct password, you only receive a verification message, and it doesn’t allow you to log in. I understand how frustrating it is not to be able to manage your thermostat and monitor smoke alarms, etc., online remotely, mainly when you have pets at home and you’re so far from them and you need to take care of them. No worries, help is here.
We're currently working on a fix to be included in a future app update. In the meantime, you can try to remove and reinstall the Google Home app from your mobile device to resolve this issue. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Please let me know how it goes,
Best regards,
Virna
