is my system compatible with nest thermostat?

Hi folks-- the Nest Chat system is unavailable.

Can anyone please let me know if my old setup is compatible with my Nest 3rd Gen.

I can't upload a picture? But it us a very basic Honeywell thermostat with only two wires (black and white; not braided, high voltage wires). Many thanks for any direction you can provide me.
