Lately I have to restart my Nest thermostat twice a day... keeps going offline..ran fine for 7 months...made no changes in my home or internet..
I restart it by the thermostat ring... and it will work for part of the day.
I restarted the router and it will run part of the day...
Neither method keeps the thermostat running continuously like the first 7 months...

Hi Richardwoodside,

My apologies for the delay in response, and sorry to hear about your thermostat's connectivity issues. That sure is frustrating whenever WiFi gets flaky. I'm happy to look into this issue for you.

When your thermostat goes offline, does it report any error code on its display? Is there any error code or suggestions the Google Home or Nest app make when it goes offline?

Meanwhile, can you try out a factory reset and removing the device from your apps, then reinstall? It's possible that there's a miscommunication between your thermostat's software and router.

I look forward to your reply and am hopeful that we can resolve this issue together.
