nest app won't load on my Samsung Android

My nest thermostat will simply not load on my Android. It started a few days ago after I did an update on my phone. I have tried everything, opened a support ticket and still nothing. I've uninstalled - reinstalled the app, the thermostat and still nothing. I got it to work for a day but again it isn't working and I didn't do any additional updates to it.

Has anyone experienced same? I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Thank you for anything you can suggest.

Hey folks,

I'm sorry for the trouble. To confirm, were you able to check if the date and time settings on your phone are correct and automatically set? Could you confirm if your Google Home app has permission to use your phone's location? Check for any available OS update. Also, try to sign out and sign back in to see if that helps.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Archie

Hi Mark, yes,  this is still an ongoing issue. The app just won't load.

Hello,  I've tried all of that and have uninstalled and reinstalled the app the times but it won't work. It just stays on the same screen with "loading..." but never loads. I'm on a Samsung phone

Hello Najia786,

Thanks for getting back to us, and I appreciate that you've tried to find a fix.

I'd love to know more about this. To isolate:

  • What's the make and model of your phone?
  • What's your phone's OS software version?
  • Check for the Nest app version.
  • Try switching between your Wi-Fi network and your mobile data network.
  • Reboot your phone and router for at least 3 minutes to refresh.

Please let me know if that helps, or if the issue still persists.

Best,

Mark
