nest learning thermostat low battery after power outage

My nest learning thermostat has been working perfectly for a year we had a power failure due to storm today for over 10 hours and when it comes back on it's showing 3.6 V from the battery. My question is will it recharge the battery itself or do I need to pull the  Thermostat off the base And recharge it myself through the USB Mini port?

Hey hondo368,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. How is your Nest Thermostat wired? What is the power reading of your Nest Thermostat? You can find this information by going to Settings > Technical Info > Power. Keep us posted.

Thanks,

Archie
