nest learning thermostat

Hi All, just bought a nest learning thermostat and it didnt come with any cables to supply power to the thermostat dial. What kind of cable and supply should i use? i think i read on the manual that it needs to be supplied with low voltage, so does a phone charger work? Thanks

When you removed your old thermostat there should’ve been five colored wires; red yellow white green and blue. Sometimes there is no blue wire which is the common you might need to add that.  The red wire provides power which is 24 V AC.  Just insert each colored wire into the whole labeled with the corresponding color. Be sure to turn off power to the furnace before you start.
