no reset email from nest

hi

am trying to migrate account to my gmail address but first I need my nest password when i set it up with my old email address as have forgotten it.  typed in email address but no reset password email arriving (have checked spam/junk) in inbox.  have deleted app and reinstalled.  not sure what to do next?

Hey folks, 

Sorry for the delayed response and also about your experience trying to recover your Nest accounts. 

Just to confirm, could you double check that you entered the email address that you used to sign up for your account? Also, are you both using Gmail email addresses or non-Gmail ones? If they're not Gmail ones, could you add @Nest.com to your allowlist if your mail service uses one? You may need to reach out to whoever manages your email services to do that.
