For some reason we must have hit the button on our heat link and our boiler turned off. We wound up deleting thermostat and now we are attempting to re-add. Keeps requesting QR codes, only there are no QR codes on our devices (neither the thermostat nor the heatsink). We inherited this system from the people who sold us our house so we aren't really certain which generation it is. Meanwhile, the thermostat no longer appears on my IOS Nest app.
thanks!

Upload a picture of your display, and we will tell you the model type.
Meanwhile have a look on the back of the display for a QR code. You don't need that to setup, just follow the instructions and that will work anyway.

Dear Frustratedddd,
Thanks so much for your reply. I've attached photos. But there's no QR that I can see.

OK, you have a 3rd generation thermostat for a start.
To find the QR code pull the display away from the stand. The QR code will then be visable.
Grab hold of the silver ring part in one hand, and the stand in the other hand, then pull away from each other. Be careful not to drop the display.
Like I said you don't need the QR code anyway, I have never used one,and installed over a 1000 thermostats.

Hi Frustratedddd,
it's asked me for last 4 digits of thermostat's serial number but there's no place to enter these!
thanks,

I have no idea where you get that information from. Forget the QR code, and set the thermostat up manual mode. Start at the Launguages page, then just follow the instructions, it's as simple as that.

Frustratedddd,
Thank you SO much! it was, as you said, very simple.

Easy I agree, these stupid QR codes are now becoming a joke.
Well done for getting working.
