recycling old thermostats

Is there a way to recycle old thermostats and heatlinks? I recently had a new one installed after an issue, but want to check if there is a way to recycle before just throwing away.

That should at least direct you to a way to recycle those devices.

Also will depends on your local government.  For example in my area there are community recycling centres that accept old smoke detectors and thermostats.
