set humidity via API for home automation

Please Google.  People have been asking for this for years.

When it gets really cold outside the humidity setting on my nest thermostat needs to be turned down so that the inside of my windows don't get covered in frost.  Maybe you don't understand why this is important if you live somewhere that never gets below freezing.  This caused damage to our windows this past winter which wasn't a problem before having nest thermostats.

I don't understand how you can have a "smart" thermostat that just has one setting for humidity.  This is the only google product I regret purchasing...

Humidity is a read only setting on the API. Please allow the API to set the humidity so I can write an automation script to set the humidity appropriately.
