My nest thermostat worked fine since installed last year . It used to tell me how long to get to the temp I had set it at but now it says "starting in 2:30 minutes. When it does start it only runs for 59 seconds and goes to the 'starting soon' screen and waits another 2:30 minutes. I have have no 'C' wire but have replaced the batteries. About ready to put my old programmable thermostat back on.  Thanks.

Hi Idksquat,

Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Let's sort this out.

What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, Check if your air filter is dirty and needs to be changed, and if it is, replace the air filter You can check this article for more details and let us know how it goes.

Best,

Zoe

Its no longer an issue now as I have gone back to the programmable thermostat for now until I decide if I want to re install the nest.

With regards to Zoeuvre's questions, it is I believe a gen 1 nest and I have replaced the air filter and batteries even though the nest said batteries were good. It still had the same issue.

Thanks to all.
