Dear Customer Service,
I purchased a new Nest thermostat 2 weeks ago from Amazon. It has been been very frustrating because I have nothing but trouble with it. My thermostat kept dropping my C-wire and draining the baterry. I have to keep replacing the battery and resetting the thermostat. Every 2 to 3 days I received an error message about my C-wire where I had to pull out the unit from the wall and replugged it back in again. It worked for a couple of days then the problem started again. So I knew it's not the power of the C-wire. I checked it with a voltmeter and it was 27 volts.
I got a new replacement yesterday from Amazon. This morning, I got a message of low battery and asking me to replace them. I called Customer Service and was told to replace the battery. There must be something wrong with the unit. My old thermostat back up battery last for more than a year with frequent power failure.
I hope Google will do something about the quality control of the product.

It sounds like something isn't wired correctly.
Post a picture of your original thermostat wiring and another showing how you wired the Nest.
