turn off fan option does not appear on nest smart thermostat

I see run fan for 15 min, 30 min etc. but no option to turn off fan.
Fan keeps running when green wire is connected.

How do I get "turn off fan" so i can connect the green wire and turn on fan when I need to.

Uh-oh! I'm sorry to hear that your fan continuously runs on your thermostat. Are you located in North America or Europe? What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, remove the thermostat display from the base, wait about five minutes, and check if the system turns off or stays on.
