Starting a few weeks ago, my mesh wifi requires a reboot every week to restore internet speeds. Observations:
1) It's not a wifi issue, happens with my wired connections that are going through the router node as well.
2)It's systemic in nature, wired, wireless, windows, android, everything
3) It's the router, not the cable modem, as rebooting the cable modem does nothing to help, but rebooting the router node fixes it
4) Wireline speed is 300mbs, throughout will degrade over the course of the week to a few megabits. Rebooting the router node fixes it immediately, and then things degrade over the course of the week.
Anyone else experienced this? I've seen a few threads that looked similar, but nothing that had an actual fix.

Yes I have seen this, my ultimate solution was to throw my points on smart outlets with a schedule to reboot , I actually have it power cycle daily in the middle of the night, solved all my issues !

Appreciate the reply. I was hoping something that actually fixes the problem, rather than the symptom would be available. Odd thing is, this is a new issue (past month or so), after years of working just fine.

Hi all,
Thanks for reaching out to the community forum.
@Ashepherdson, thanks for your suggestion shared, it's really helpful.
@btenpenny, I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing slow internet with your mesh Wi-Fi system and that resetting it seems to be the only way to improve performance, but then the issue persists. I appreciate your troubleshooting effort and your cooperation on this. No worries, let's work together to get this fixed. To help me with that, I have some questions for you:
In the meantime, you can find some helpful tips in the following article: Troubleshoot slow Wi-Fi.
Any additional details you can provide will be helpful.
Regards,
Jonathan

As I mentioned in the original post, this happens to wired connections as well, so it's not a wifi signal issue. I have 3 total pucks, the router one, and 2 mesh points. The issue is that everything in the house experiences slow throughput until I reset the router unit. Ethernet cables and ports are fine, no reason that power cycling the router would fix a cabling issue.

Hi @btenpenny,
Thanks for your reply and for the information shared.
Let's try the following steps:
You can also check if you hit the limit of your max bandwidth in a given day. This is the natural limit that can be achieved in a given day based on your connection speed. Check it by:
Please check it and let me know if you find something unusual in your mesh system.
Cheers,
Jonathan

Firstly, thank you for trying to help.
1) This point makes no sense whatsoever. Why would the usage of my network impact the throughput of my network? My provider does impose bandwidth limitations, and even if they did, rebooting the router would not remove that restriction. There is no per-day bandwith restriction.
2) My usage currently is 8Mbps down, 0.168 up on a 300Mbps connection.

Hi @btenpenny,
Thanks for the update.
Let's try changing the DNS server. Changing DNS servers and toggling cloud services can connect you to a closer or more optimized DNS server, eliminate redundant DNS server checks, and ensure all settings are communicated and saved properly on Google Cloud ser
If you have an IPv6 set, you need to specify a custom IPv6 DNS. If it's not currently enabled, you shouldn't be required to enter an IPv6 DNS: Google IPv6 DNS: 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844
To enable Nest Wifi Cloud services, do the following steps:
To learn more about this, please check out the following article: Public DNS.
Let me know how it goes after trying these steps. I'm happy to assist further.

Jonathan

I have changed the DNS to Google's DNS servers, as requested. I don't see what connection there would be between DNS and throughput issues, however. The issue is that, over the course of a week or so, throughput drops from 400mbps to 5 or 10mbps after the unit has been running for a week or so, and then returns to normal after I power-cycle the router node.
