Same thing apply for D-Link as with other mesh systems not made by Google:

Watch out for double NAT. Can't be controlled in the Google Home app. Connect them preferably by ethernet cable, use as access points.

I don't work for Google.

Hi, everyone.
Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.

Hi all, apologies for late reply. I ended up returning the d-link product. I had been on the phone with d-link support in Singapore for hours and wasn't getting anywhere. I think Google products are just made to work with non Google branded devices. Our Google router comes with our internet plan so in future I will purchase a different router and access points. I may be able to purchase Google access points here in NZ but its difficult to get access points without having to buy a router as well.

Thanks for all you help.
