Asus Google On Hub connected to Google Mesh Points

My network setup has the Asus On Hub as the main router point, connected with three Google Mesh points.  What are my options for upgraded the main router?  Would  a Nest Wifi point be compatible with the network? Should I just get an additional Google Mesh point and set it up as my main router?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Nest Wifi and Google Wifi hardware can be mixed:

To replace the main node you must factory reset the whole network in the Google Home app and set it up from scratch though.
